And I didn’t ask this in hockey!!
I meant who is going to take a fair share of the customer spending on consumer electronics – the Koreans (LG / Samsung) or the Japanese (Sony / Panasonic / Toshiba / others). Funny to think that way or rather scary..
Go to any electronics showroom, take any magazine, browse any TV channel or just take any new paper and you will know why I’m saying this. There is so much talk about the above brands, advertisements, reviews, offers and much more. Some of the best known international brands (especially the Japanese) have suddenly taken a liking for the Indian markets. Nowhere in the world is spending on such a high during the second half of the year. With the festival season at its peak, all the above brands are on their toes to extract maximum market share.
While the Japanese and Korean players discuss strategies to capture the Indian market and the profits they can contribute to their international P&L and Balance Sheets over the next few years – where are the Indian brands?
